17. FIRMWARE, VOICES AND DEMO
UPDATING
The piano foresees the possibility of updating the firmware, the voices and the demo through
a Midi file released by Galileo in order to ameliorate the product.
For loading these files in the internal memory of the instrument you have to connect an
external sequencer or a computer to the Midi In or To Host input as described in par. 15.2
and 15.3
If you use an external sequencer you simply have to start the playback of the updating
files.
In case you use a computer you have to use a Midi program that will unable you to transmit
Midi datas and to execute the file play back
The updating files will be:

ARIESRxx.mid: Firmware update
-
ARIESTxx.mid: Voices update
-
ARIESDxx.mid: Demo update
xx will be replaced by the file version.
After having made all connections and having started the transmission of the datas, the
display will indicate the datas percentage
When the updating is concluded, the display will show:
NOTE
During reception of data, it is best not to switch off the instrument or the
sequencer/computer, or interrupt the operation, until it has been completed.
