CONDITION: Sidestand up, key ON and transmission in neutral
Check ignition fuse.
Is fuse OK?
YES
Attach Breakout Box (HD-42682) to
1
ECM. Check for 12 volts on ECM
connector [10] Pin 1 (+) and Pin 2 (-).
Voltage present?
NO
YES
Replace ECM. See
4.29 ELECTRONIC
CONTROL MODULE.

Replace fuse.
Check for continuity to
ground on [10] Pin 2.
Continuity present?
YES
Check for 12 volts
on ignition relay

Repair open between
ECM and ignition relay.

Replace ignition relay.
