Maintenance of the device

The term "maintenance" as used herein refers to the operation that has to be performed to
keep the device in good operating condition.
To carry out maintenance of the device, select [MAINTENANCE] from the function menu
and make the necessary settings.

Invoking a maintenance function

In order to execute any of the maintenance functions, it is necessary to perform the follow-
ing operation on the operation panel.
You have to understand how to invoke the desired maintenance function to carry out main-
tenance.
STEPS:
1. Make sure that the LOCAL mode is dis-
played.
2. Press the [FUNCTION] key.
3. Press the [ ] or [ ] keys until the display
gives the indication [MAINTENANCE].
4. Press the [ENTER] key.
5. Select the next operation.

Prints the set condition of the device.
Adjusts the dot position.
Cleans the inside of the station and flashing tray.
Use this function when nozzle clogging is not solved.
Ink drops stuck on the nozzle side is cleaned.
Wipe off the nozzle at intervals.
Select the ink color set of ink cartridge.
Perform ink change.
Replace the water for water heater tank.
Regular maintenance for white ink is performed.
Select a head for small amount cleaning when power on.
Replace the UV lamp deteriorated.
When white ink is set, it changes the setting to perform
refresh appropriate for white ink.
Display the firmware version and serial number for the device
Set the type of the cap rubber.
