Controlling Access to the Wireless Network

Access Control enables you to specify the stations are allowed to join (associate
with) your wireless networks. Access controls can be configured for each WLAN
from its respective Wireless # (WLAN number) tab.
Access Control List (ACL) Options
This section describes the options that you can use to control access to the wireless
network.
• Disable WLAN access restrictions: The MAC-address-based restrictions on
which stations can join the WLAN are disabled, so any station can join. If the
WLAN uses encryption, then the station must still supply the correct encryption
passphrase. When this option is selected, the Access Controls table is hidden.
• Allow only stations listed in the Access Control Table: Only stations entered
into the access-controls table are allowed, but all others are disallowed. To add
MAC addresses, see
• Deny only stations listed in the Access Control Table: Stations entered into
the access-controls table are disallowed but all others are allowed. To add MAC
addresses, see
