Installing and removing plastic drive covers

Removing plastic drive cover
If you install an accessible drive in the 3 ½ inch installation bay and this bay was previously empty or
contained the second hard disk, you must first remove the plastic drive cover.
Open the casing (see "Opening the casing").
Lay the casing cover accessibly on a non-slide surface.
With some types of device you can reinstall the cover. With other types of device, the

cover is broken off and cannot be reused. However, you can purchase another cover as an
accessory, and reinstall it.
Do not throw away the safety covers. If you remove the drive again later, you must reinstall
the covers (cooling, fire protection or EMC regulations to be complied with).

Press the plastic drive cover from the inside
out of the front panel in the direction of the
arrow.
