TROUBLESHOOTING (VX600ER/VT600)
WARNING
Before starter motor operation, push the engine stop switch to "OFF".
1. Connect:
•
Starter relay terminals
(battery side and starter motor side)

Jumper lead
2. Check:
•
Starter motor operation
3. Disconnect:
•
Starter relay coupler
4. Connect:
•
Starter relay coupler terminals
1
Jumper lead
5. Check:
•
Starter motor operation

ELECTRICAL STARTING SYSTEM
STARTER MOTOR DOES NOT OPERATE.

Check the battery and connectors.
Refer to "BATTERY INSPECTION" in CHAPTER 2.

Charge and/or replace the battery.
Refer to "BATTERY CHARGING" in
CHAPTER 2.
Repair or replace the starter motor.
WARNING
A wire for the jumper lead 1 must have the
equivalent capacity as that of the battery lead or
more, otherwise it may cause the jumper lead to
be burned.
This check is likely to produce sparks, so be sure
that no flammable gas or fluid is in the vicinity.
