7.5 Security Profile Commands

The following table identifies the values required for many of these commands. Other input values
are discussed with the corresponding commands.

The following table describes the commands available for security profile management. You must
use the
configure terminal
these commands.

DESCRIPTION
The security profile name. You may use 1-31 alphanumeric characters,
underscores (
), or dashes (-), but the first character cannot be a number. This
_
value is case-sensitive.
Sets the WEP key encryption strength. Select either 64bit or 128bit.
Sets the WPA/WPA2 pre-shared key in ASCII. You may use 8~63 alphanumeric
characters. This value is case-sensitive.
Sets the WPA/WPA2 pre-shared key in HEX. You muse use 64 alphanumeric
characters.
Sets the shared secret used by your network's RADIUS server.
The authentication method used by the security profile.
command to enter the configuration mode before you can use
DESCRIPTION
Displays the security profile(s).
all: Displays all profiles for the selected operating mode.
security_profile_name: Displays the specified profile for the
selected operating mode.
Gives existing security profile (security_profile_name1) a new
name, (security_profile_name2).
Enters configuration mode for the specified security profile. Use
the no parameter to remove the specified profile.
Sets the security mode for this profile.
Sets the WEP encryption strength (64 or 128) and the default
key value (1 ~ 4).
If you select WEP-64 enter 10 hexadecimal digits in the range of
"A-F", "a-f" and "0-9" (for example, 0x11AA22BB33) for each Key
used; or enter 5 ASCII characters (case sensitive) ranging from
"a-z", "A-Z" and "0-9" (for example, MyKey) for each Key used.
If you select WEP-128 enter 26 hexadecimal digits in the range of
"A-F", "a-f" and "0-9" (for example,
0x00112233445566778899AABBCC) for each Key used; or enter
13 ASCII characters (case sensitive) ranging from "a-z", "A-Z"
and "0-9" (for example, MyKey12345678) for each Key used.
You can save up to four different keys. Enter the default-key (1
~ 4) to save your WEP to one of those four available slots.
Sets the authentication key type to either open or share.
