5. Slowly pump the tester handle and observe the
pressure gauge (Figure 6-40).
6. Read the pressure gauge when the injection
pressure begins to decrease. NOTICE: Judge if
the nozzle operates normally or not by listening
for the swishing sound.
• No. 2 opening pressure: 300 to 310 kgf/cm
29.42 to 30.40 MPa (4267 to 4409 psi)

• If No. 2 opening pressure is out of the specified
range, disassemble the nozzle and select the
appropriate adjusting shim from the chart and
replace the shim located at the upper portion of
the No. 2 pressure spring.

7. After the injection test, check for leakage from
