Fuel Injection Nozzle

9. Remove the nozzle holder clamp from the
cylinder head (Figure 6-14).
10. Remove the fuel injection nozzle and seat from
the cylinder head. Remove the O-ring from the
fuel injection nozzle. Store fuel injection nozzle
in orderly manner so that they can be
reassembled to corresponding cylinders.

Fuel Injection Nozzle Testing

Leak Test
CAUTION! ALWAYS wear eye protection when
servicing the engine.
Increase the pressure to near the specified
injection pressure of 10 to 20 kgf/cm
MPa (142 to 284 psi). Check for oil leakage from
the injection hole and around the retaining nut.
There should be no leakage (Figure 6-15, (1)). If
leakage occurs from the nozzle (Figure 6-15, (2)),
replace, clean or repair the nozzle.

Spray Test
Check the spray condition for an even spray pattern
(Figure 6-16, (1)). If the spray condition is improper
(Figure 6-16, (2)), replace or clean the nozzle.
