Note: Replace the old bearings with new
bearings of the same number. If the
bearing number is unknown, it may be
determined by adding the numbers on
the main bearing cap and crankshaft and
select a bearing having a number equal
to that obtained by addition. There are
five types of standard bearings, which
are identified by marks "2", "3", "4", 5"
and "6" (Figure 5-97).
