Steering Modes of the System

Note that all steering-related functions are available only if the ECDIS system is also connected to an optional
Autopilot PR-6000 processor.
The Autopilot PR-6000 has the following steering modes:

Hand steering (Mode selector: HAND)

Autopilot steering (Mode selector: AUTO)
NFU mode for Non-follow up steering mode (Mode selector: NFU)
Track mode automatic Route steering, RC/Nav (Mode selector: RC)
Remote Control steering on port wing, RC/P/W (Mode selector: RC), option
Remote Control steering on starboard wing, RC/S/W (Mode selector: RC), option
Remote Control steering on wheel house, RC/W/H (Mode selector: RC), option
Override steering method, option

Hand steering (Mode selector: HAND)
Set the Mode selection switch to "HAND".
In this mode the ECDIS system displays the rudder angle and steering mode.
