Autopilot FAP-2000
28.1

Introduction

This chapter describes the steering functions (trackpilot) available with connection of the optional FURUNO
Autopilot FAP-2000. This Autopilot FAP-2000 receives position, heading and speed data, compares this with the
track section to be steered, and applies the ship model to calculate and command the necessary rudder angle.
28.2

Steering Modes

Note that all steering-related functions are available only if the ECDIS system is also connected to the optional
Autopilot FAP-2000.
