e. R em ove parking pawl shaft retaining plug, parking
pawl shaft, and parking
replacement is required.
The parking pawl shafts retaining clip may be removed
by using a bolt extractor.
12. R em ove case electrical connector by com pressing
tabs on sleeve and discard "O" ring seal.
Removal of Oil Pump and Internal Case
Components
1. Rem ove eight (8) pump attaching bolts w ith washer
type seals.
2. Install tw o (2) threaded slide hammers J-7004 into
*threaded holes in pump body and rem ove pump assembly
from case (Figure 7A 5-23). Discard pum p gasket and pump.
3. Loosen nut and interm ediate band anchor bolt
(Figure 7A 5-24).
6. R em ove direct and forward clutch assemblies and
intermediate band from case (Figure 7A 5-25). Refer to
pawl (Figure 7A 5-22) if
