7. Compress pressure regulator valve spring by pushing
on bore plug with small screwdriver and install retaining
ring. (Figure 7A1-150).
8. Install actuator valve into bushing bore o f pump
cover.
9. Install apply valve into apply valve bushing.
10. Install apply valve bushing into bore o f pump cover
(Figure 7A 1-150A ).
11. Install apply valve bushing retaining pin (Figure
7A 1-150B).
12. Install new pump to case gasket on pump and retain
with petrolatum.
13. Lubricate w ith petrolatum and install new "0"-ring
on solenoid assembly.
14. Install solenoid assembly onto pump. (Figure 7A1-
150C).
15. Install solenoid assembly attaching bolts and torque
to 3.0-5.0 N -m (2-4 ft. lbs.)
16. Install solenoid assembly wires into wire clip.
17. If removed, install 3 new oil seal rings, m aking sure
cut ends are assembled in the same relationship as cut. A lso,
make sure rings are seated in the grooves to prevent damage
to the rings during reassembly o f mating part over rings.
Retain with petrolatum.
18. Install pump to case seal ring, chamfered side out,
making sure the ring is not twisted.
19. Install pump to direct clutch thrust washer and
retain with petrolatum. (Figure 7A 1-151).
20. R em ove holding bolt or screwdriver. (Figure 7A 1-
150).
21. Install new pump to case gasket on pump and retain
with petrolatum.
22. Install 2 pump to case alignment pins in case as
shown in Figure 7A 1-153.
NOTICE:
Before installing
interm ediate band anchor pin lug is aligned with band
anchor pin hole in case.

23. Install pump assembly and finger start pump to case
bolts and new washers, except one bolt hole (Figure 7A1-
153) which will be used to make the front unit end play
check.
