Status Monitor

The Status Monitor appears when printing starts. The Status Monitor displays the status of the PC-12 and the
progress of printing. When printing ends, the Status Monitor automatically disappears.
For Windows 95/98/Me
This displays the
status of printing.

To pause printing, click here. To
resume printing, click here again.
For Windows NT 4.0/2000
This displays the
status of printing.

About Prefeed
When printing starts, prefeed is performed first. Prefeed ensures that there is enough media left for the job by pulling
out the length of media required for printing. After the media is pulled out, it returns to its original position. Leave
some slack in the roll media at this time, as shown in the figure.
If there is no slack in the roll media, printing or cutting may be misaligned, or the media may come loose of jam.
This figure shows the machine with the media cover detached, but you should normally use the machine with the
media cover installed. You can add slackness to the roll media even when the media cover is installed.

This shows the
present progress of
printing within the

again. You can optionally select whether to
redo printing from the first page or from the
