Functions of the [ready/insert] Button (When an Error Occurs)
Clearing an Error
When an error other than a hard error or mechanism error occurs, you can clear the error by first eliminating the cause of the error, then
pressing the [ready/insert] button.
Forced Printing or Clearing Data
When data transmission from the computer is interrupted for longer than a certain interval (approx. 30 seconds), which is indicated by rapid
flashing of the [ready] light, pressing the [ready/insert] button performs forced printing of data already received and ejects the media.

Indicator Lights

[power] light
This shows whether the power is on or off.
Illuminated
: The power is on.
Flashing rapidly
: Printing of the demo pattern is in progress.
Dark
: The power is off.
* A small amount of required power is supplied to internal areas even
when the power light is dark. To cut the power completely, unplug
the power cord from the electrical outlet.
[error] light
This light stays dark when the PC-12 is
running normally, and flashes when an error
occurs. A description of any error that occurs
appears on the monitor. Note that if you're
using a unidirectional interface, error
descriptions may not appear on the monitor.
[ready] light
This indicates printing status.
Illuminated
: Printing is possible.
Flashing rapidly : Transmission of data from the computer has
been interrupted.
Flashing
: Printing is in progress.
Dark
: Printing has been stopped.
