Data Entry

3.1

Preparation

Before all functions of your fax machine can be used, you must enter
various settings. This section explains how to enter your name, line type
and the remote locations with which you may wish to communicate.
You can cancel the entry process at any time by pressing [STOP
setting will then not be saved. If you do not press a key within 30 seconds
the setting will also be cancelled.
3.2

Typing Conventions for Data Entry

If not specifically indicated, all keys are to be pressed one after the other,

Entering Text

Only numbers can be entered using the numeric keypad. Letters and
special characters are entered via the LCD. Press [ENTER] to save the

mistake. Press [UC] to enter capitals and [LC] for lower case. The
alphanumeric display appears if you press [ALPHA]. To enter special
characters press [SYMBOL]. To move the cursor press the arrow keys in
the LCD.
