The Emulation submenu specifies the page description language of the
print data to be received on the LAN interface. The PCL setting disables
printing in the PostScript® format. The AUTO and PS settings enable
PostScript® printing. For normal operation, keep the default AUTO
setting.
The I/O Timeout submenu allows you to choose how long the printer
will wait after a break in data reception over the LAN interface before it
moves on to the next print job. You can set the wait time from 5 to 300
seconds. Setting options include 15 SEC (default), 20 SEC, 30 SEC, 60
SEC, 120 SEC, 180 SEC, 240 SEC, 300 SEC, 5 SEC, and 10 SEC.
The Test Menu allows you to print test pages such as the Config page, the
PS test page, and the PCL test page. The Test Menu also gives you options
to print PS and PCL font lists, and to set the printer to display the total
number of pages that have been printed.
Test Print Page prints the test page for the printer.
The Print Config Page submenu allows you to print information about
the printer and menu settings.
You can print a list of the PostScript Level 3® fonts that are installed in
the printer from the Print PS Fonts submenu.
The Print PCL Fonts submenu allows you to print a list of the PCL fonts
that are installed in the printer.
You can print a test page to demonstrate PostScript Level 3® page
description language from the Print PS Demo submenu.
12. Press the ONLINE key to return
to online mode, and turn off the
printer. Wait at least five seconds,
and then turn on the printer.
