Disabling and Enabling the BBU in the Router
Place the disconnected male and female connectors back into the chassis with them still slightly

protruding from the open cable port. You will use the cable port plug to fully insert the connectors back
into the chassis.
Cup the protruding connectors with the cavity in the cable port plug previously removed. Re-insert the

plug, maintaining the connectors in the cavity. Use the 1/2" or 13mm socket wrench to tighten the plug
to a torque value of 6-7 ft-lbs (8.13 - 9.49 N-m).

Open the chassis door by following the steps in the

Locate the BBU cable connector attached to the base of BBU 1. Find the latch on the underside of the

connector. Press the tab of the latch and pull it to disconnect the connector from BBU 1.
Tuck the BBU connector into the chassis door to prevent any interference with the closure of the door.

Do not over-torque the cable port plug. The torque should not exceed 7 ft-lbs (9.49 N-m).
The cable port plug cavity now holds the single-pin connectors captive. This allows the BBU
single-pin connectors to be connected more easily.

transport in order to preserve battery life.
