Luggage Compartment Lid - Ferrari 612 scaglietti Owner's Manual

The lid is kept in the open position by two gas struts C.
Always check to ensure that the lid is closed properly, to
prevent it from opening while driving.
Emergency opening
If the lever A does not work, insert your hand through the fins on the
front grill and push until the closing cap is removed. Grip the ring D
and pull it towards the front.

Luggage compartment lid

Opening
To open the luggage compartment lid, press button A or use the button
on the remote control (see page 6).
The engine compartment lid is held in the open position by 2 gas struts
B.
When the luggage compartment lid is opened, the dome light C turns on
automatically.
To close the luggage compartment lid, lower it gently until it touches the
bodywork, then slightly press downward on the middle of the lid until
the lock clicks in place (locking is fully automatic).
Do not close the lid with force, slamming it on the body could cause damage the
closing system.
