External lights and direction indicators

The external lights and indicators only operate with the ignition key in
position II (see page 49).
The external lights can be switched on and off manually or
automatically, depending on the daylight.

Light switch

Switch A has five positions:
0 - Lights off;
6 - Position and number plate lights on (*);
2 - Low beam lights on (*);
F - Parking lights;
AUT - Automatic activation of the external lights, depending on the
ambient light.
(*) The warning light on the dashboard turns on (see page 31).

High beams
To turn on the high beams when switch A is in position 2, pull the left
hand lever B towards the dashboard.
When the high beam lights are on, the respective warning light will
illuminate on the instrument panel (see page 31).
Pull the lever B towards the steering wheel again to switch off the high
beams and switch on the low beams.
For the use of the high beams, follow the Road Regulations in force.
Flashing the headlights
The headlights can be flashed by pulling the left-hand lever B towards
the steering wheel.
The headlights can also be flashed when they are off, if the ignition key
is at position II.
The high beams are used for flashing. Follow the Road Regulations in force.
