Level checks
General notes
The level checks must be performed at the intervals indicated in the
"Maintenance Schedule" or before starting a long journey.
We recommend that you use only lubricants and/or fluids indicated by
F
(see the "Capacities" table on page 18).

Checking the engine oil level
To perform the level check, run the engine at idle speed for a few minutes (oil
temperature >70 °C), then check the level with the engine idling.
Proceed as follows:
• Open the engine compartment lid (see page 88).
• Check that the level is between the "MIN" and "MAX" notches
marked on the dipstick, which is located in front of the engine oil
filler cap, on the left of the engine compartment.

If, following the check, the oil proves to be under the
"MIN" level, top it up and then have the system checked
by a service centre of the F
ERRARI
• MAX - MIN = 1.5 litres
• Unscrew the tank cap and top up with the prescribed oil if necessary.
Do not exceed the "MAX" level indicated on the dipstick.
• Screw the cap back on tightly.
