Checking the coolant level
Only perform this procedure when the engine is cold
Never remove the cap from the expansion tank when the
engine is running or warm.
• Open the engine compartment lid (see page 88).
• Remove the expansion tank cap, located on the right of the engine
compartment, and check that the level is visible from the filler neck.
• If the level is low, top it up with the recommended fluid.
If you need to top up the level several times after short
trips, have the system checked by the F
N .

• Screw the cap tightly onto the expansion tank filler neck.

Checking the oil level in the hydraulic steering system
The level check must be carried out with the engine warm, after having
travelled at least 15 Km (10 mi.), and with the vehicle parked on level
ground.
Remove the cap from the tank in the engine compartment and ensure
that the level is between the "MIN" and "MAX" notches on the
dipstick.
The oil level check must be carried out with the cap resting on the tank.
If necessary, top up the oil level to the "MAX" notch, using the oil
prescribed.
Screw the cap back on tightly.
