It is imperative that the installer understand the requirements of the Authority Having Jurisdiction
(AHJ) and be familiar with the standards set forth by the following regulatory agencies:
• Underwriters Laboratories Standards
• NFPA 72 National Fire Alarm Code
• CAN/ULC - S527-99 Standard for Control Units for Fire Alarm Systems
Before proceeding, the installer should be familiar with the following documents.
This product has been certified to comply with the requirements in the Standard for Control Units and Accessories for
Fire Alarm Systems, UL 864, 9th Edition. Operation of this product with products not tested for UL 864, 9th Edition
has not been evaluated. Such operation requires the approval of the local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
