3. Before loading paper into the paper trays, fan the edges. This procedure separates any sheets of
paper that are stuck together and reduces the possibility of paper jams.
For 1-Sided printing:
•
Load the paper against the left-hand side of the tray.
•
Place the side to be printed facedown.
•
Place pre-punched paper with the holes toward the left side of the tray.
•
Place letterhead (or the top of the page) toward the front of the tray.
Note:
Do not load paper above the maximum fill line. Doing so may cause paper jams.
Note:
To avoid paper jams and misfeeds, do not remove paper from its packaging until required.
For 2-Sided printing:
Place the side to be printed first (page 1) faceup.

Place pre-punched paper with the holes toward the right side of the tray.
•
Place letterhead (or the top of the page) toward the front of the tray.
4. Slide the guides so they just touch the edges of the paper.
