When using stapler-sorter mode with
documents placed directly on the glass
platen, make sure that the side you
want to copy is facing downwards and
that the corner to be stapled is in the
top right-hand corner.
•
If the document was placed on the glass platen manually, at the end of the copying cycle, press the MANUAL
STAPLING key (F3) to staple the sets of copies.
Stapling with Manual Document Insertion
This function enables you to manually insert the documents in the stapler-sorter for stapling. Up to 20 sheets
may be stapled together.
Align the edges of the sheets to be stapled and place the sheets in the bin below the top tray.
The staple will be inserted
at this position
Insert the sheets in the direction
indicated by the arrow so that they
are positioned as indicated by the
dotted line.
The MANUAL STAPLING key (F3)
lights up. Press it.
When using stapler-sorter mode with
the documents placed in the ADF or
RDF, make sure that the corner to be
stapled is in the top left-hand corner
of the document tray.
