This optional device automatically places documents on the glass platen. At the end of the copying cycle, the
documents are placed in the tray.

Do not place the following kinds of document in the ADF:
•
Documents that are torn or have large punched binding holes
•
Excessively crumpled or rolled-up documents
•
Documents held together with paper clips or staples
•
Carbon paper or other documents that cannot be transported easily
•
Transparencies or other highly transparent documents
Using the ADF
Removing jammed originals
If paper gets jammed in the ADF, the paper jam indicator
at the same time, the latter indicating area 4 (
