Displaying the Printer Status Window Automatically

Go to the Status option in Options menu. Select Display Printer Status While
Printing check box to have the Printer Status Window open automatically each
time you print.
The Printer Status Window always opens to display an Alert,
NOTE
even if Display Printer Status While Printing is not selected.

Accompanying Messages with Sounds

The Windows Printing System comes with sound files that provide a spoken
version of various messages you might get while a document is printing. Sounds
accompany most Printer Status Window messages, except for "Printing Started"
and "Printing Complete". If you installed the sound files and have dynamic two-
way communication, the Windows printing System can play these sound messages
when appropriate.
Use the Windows Control Panel to turn individual sounds on or off, as well as to
change the voice messages to different sounds.
Refer to the following tables, which list the spoken messages, the event that
triggers each sound, and the sound's filename:
