Printer Setup

This chapter describes printer installation, power connection, and installation of the
Developer Cartridge and Paper Cassette.
Please read and perform all the steps in this chapter before attempting to
configure and operate the printer.

Printer Location

Physical Location

The surface where the printer is installed should be smooth and flat. There should
also be sufficient clearance around the printer to easily:
Open the Top Cover
Open the Rear Cover to remove any jammed paper
Retrieve paper from the rear output path
Allow air circulation around the vents to prevent overheating

Environment

Locate the printer in a well-ventilated room where:
room temperature is between 50˚ and 86˚F
relative humidity is 20% to 80% (non-condensing)
there will be no abrupt temperature or humidity changes
there will be no exposure to direct sunlight, airborne contaminants, or vibration
