Envelope Specifications
Choose envelopes that are well-constructed. They should lie flat, and not be wrinkled,
nicked, or otherwise damaged.
Envelopes with peel-off adhesive strips or more than one fold-over flap must use
adhesives compatible with the heat and pressure of the printer's fusing process
(392˚F /200˚C) for 0.1 sec).
Adhesive Label Specifications
Use the following guidelines when selecting labels:
The top sheet (printing surface) must be of copier quality and provide good toner
adhesion.
The carrier sheet must be compatible with the temperatures and pressure of the
fusing process, and must be coated for easy release of the top sheet.
The adhesives must be stable at the 392˚F (200˚C) temperatures encountered for
0.1 second in the printer's fusing process, and must not produce emissions that
exceed exposure levels or threshold limits established by OSHA and other safety
agencies. Adhesives must not come into direct contact with any part of the printer.
Recycled paper, OHP film, or thin paper
may curl near the Exit Cover, jam and/or
CAUTION
produce ghosting in the printed image.
