To configure the FaxPress server properties required to send and receive faxes, follow
these steps:
1.
Log onto a network workstation, preferably on the same segment as the FaxPress.
The workstation should already have the FaxPress Client installed.
2.
Open FaxPress. (
fewer FaxPress servers on your network, the FaxPress interface will appear, with
the FaxPress Login window requiring you to log in. If there are more than three
FaxPress servers on the network, or if the FaxPress is on a segment different from
the one you're on, a FaxPress Accounts window will appear, requiring you to
select and add the FaxPress server you intend to configure.
Note: For more detailed information on logging into FaxPress, see Locating a
Remote FaxPress Server on page 76.
3.
If the FaxPress Login window appears, enter the Administrator in the User
Name field, and leave the Password field blank, unless you've already set a
Administrator password. By default, the Administrator password field is blank. You
can also log into the FaxPress fromthe FaxPress All Folders view, by right-clicking
on the serial number or name of the FaxPress from the FaxPress Neighborhood
list, and selecting Login as.
Note: You must be logged in with Administrator privileges to configure
the FaxPress. If you log in as a user without Administrator privileges, the
Server Properties will not be available.
4.
If this is the first time you've opened FaxPress , you'll be prompted to activate your
FaxPress software. Select Obtain Key from Web to get your activation key, then
enter the key code and click Enable.
