Basic Configuration
The figure below shows the Basic Configuration of the ZFV Series.
SmartMonitor ZS Professional
(option software, sold separately)
ZS-SW11E
Allows you to operate the
Sensor Controller, monitor
or log measured values from
the personal computer.
In this manual, the software is
referred to as "SmartMonitor ZS".
RS-232C cable for personal

ZS-XRS2
This is used for communicating
with a personal computer without
a USB port.(SmartMonitor ZS cannot be
used on the RS-232C interface.
Communication using CompoWay/F or
non-procedural protocol is possible.)
*1 Only two of the ZS-XC_B(R) cables can be connected in series.
This is not possible on the ZS-XC_A. Cables may break at locations
where bending occurs on the cable. Use the robot cable type extension cable (ZS-XC5BR).

Detects the sensing object.

This is used between the Sensor Head
and Sensor Controller.
On the ZS-XC_B(R), the connection can be
extended by two cables. (max. 22 m)
Sensor Controller

Performs measurement, and outputs
measurement results.

Prepare the required number of (1)
and (2) power supplies above.
