Device Information
Confirm the device-name used in DV Gateway mode.
1 Access Menu No. 654.
DV Gateway Mode Interface Setting
Set the interface (USB or Bluetooth) for connecting to external
devices (Windows PC or Android device) when in DV Gateway
mode.
1 Access Menu No. 985.
2 Select [USB] or [Bluetooth].
DR SCAN
This function scans the stations in the repeater list or hotspot
list in DR mode.
1 Press and hold [VFO], or select [DR Scan] in the Digital
Function Menu.
DR Scan screen appears.
2 Select an item and press [VFO], [ENT], or [A/B]..
[FROM] and MHz dot flash and scan starts in the
increasing direction of repeater numbers from the last
repeater. The scan direction can be changed with [ ]/[ ]
or [ENC] control.

Search for nearby repeaters (up to 20
repeaters) that are near your station (within
Nearby Repeaters
a range of 160 km (100 mi)) among D-STAR
repeaters.
Search for the repeaters that are
World Region
communicating among all D-STAR repeaters
that belong to the World Region.
Search for repeaters that are communicating
Country &
among all D-STAR repeaters that belong to the
Reagion
Country & Reagion.
Search for repeaters that are communicating
Group
among all D-STAR repeaters that belong to the
Group.
Find the hotspots that are communicating in
Hotspot
the hotspot list.
3 Press [ENT].
Scan stops.
Note:
¡ Repeaters and hot spot specified for Repeater Lockout can not
be scanned.
¡ When scanning by [Nearby Repeaters], [Not Found] is displayed
if there is no repeater that can be used within the range of 160
km (100 mi) from your station.
¡ [Nearby Repeaters] scan will not operate if GPS data is not
received.
¡ Even if GPS is not positioning, the transceiver searches for
nearby repeaters by the stored GPS data.
¡ If there is no more than one repeater registered in the repeater
list, a repeater scan can not be performed.
REPEATER SCAN LOCKOUT
This function is to exclude and skip any list from the scan
targets when D-STAR repeater or hotspot lists are scanned.
Group Lockout Setting
You can lock out all repeaters in a specific repeater group.
1 Access Menu No. 210.
World Region selection screen appears.
2 Select a World Region and press [ENT].
Country & Reagion selection screen appears.
3 Select a Country & Reagion and press [ENT].
