Note:
¡ This setting is canceled when the power is switched OFF.

CALLSIGN SQUELCH/ CODE SQUELCH

This function is useful when communicating with the specific
stations. The squelch opens and you can call only when the
digital code set by your station or the Callsign of your station is
received.
Callsign Squelch
The squelch opens only when the received destination
Callsign matches that of your station. The squelch does not
open if all 8 digits of the Callsign do not match.
1 Access Menu No. 620.
2 Select [Callsign Squelch] and press [A/B].
When the Callsign squelch is selected, the <
appears on the display.
Code Squelch
The squelch opens only when the received digital code
matches. This can be set for each band.
1 Access Menu No. 620.
2 Select [Code Squelch] and press [A/B].
When the code squelch is selected, the <
appears on the display.
Note:
¡ The code squelch is different from DCS (Digital Coded Squelch)
in FM mode.

GPS DATA TX MODE

This function is to transmit location information using GPS
when operating in DV/DR mode.
1 Access Menu No. 630.
2 Select [Off] or [On].
[Off]: Does not transmit my position location information.
[On]: Transmits my position location information.
GPS Sentence
Select the sentence to transmit location information when
operating in DV mode. The GPS sentences that can be used
with the transceiver are 6 kinds of [GGA], [GLL], [GSA], [GSV],
[RMC], [VTG], and [APRS Sentence] but only four of them
can be set at the same time.
[GSA], [GSV], [VTG] sentences are transmitted only when
Menu No.401(My Position) is set to "GPS".
1 Access Menu No. 631.
2 Select [$GPGGA], [$GPGLL], [$GPGSA], [$GPGSV],
[$GPRMC], [$GPVTG], or [APRS Sentence]
[$GPGGA]: Global Positioning System Fix Data.
[$GPGLL]: Geographic position, latitude/ longitude.
[$GPGSA]: GPS DOP and active satellites.
[$GPGSV]: GPS Satellites in view.
[$GPRMC]: Recommended minimum specific GPS/Transit
data.

[$GPVTG]: Track made good and ground speed.
[APRS Sentence]: Comply with the APRS protocol and is
transmitted according to D-STAR specifications.
Note:
¡ When [APRS Sentence] is selected, no other sentences are
transmitted.
¡ The settings of Menu No.500 (My Callsign in APRS) and
Menu No.501 (Icon) are also applied to the [APRS Sentence]
transmission. This is so that APRS data and D-STAR [APRS
Sentence] show that they have been sent from the same device.
¡ If Menu No.500 (My Callsign in APRS) is not set, the [APRS
Sentence] will use the settings of Menu No.610 (My Callsign
in DV/DR mode) or Menu No.651 (My Callsign in DV Gateway
mode).
¡ The D-STAR [APRS Sentence] is transmitted in APRS standard
format (uncompressed), not in MicEncoder format. Therefore
Position Comments such as "In Service" are not transmitted.
GPS Auto TX

This function is to transmit the positioned GPS data at regular
intervals. You can set the interval for transmitting. Location
information and other data from the GPS are transmitted at the
set interval.
1 Access Menu No. 632.
2 Select [Off], [0.2], [0.5], [1], [2], [3], [5], [10], [20], [30], or
[60] minutes.
Note:
¡ Use the GPS Auto TX function in DV mode. Be sure to set to Off
in DR mode.
¡ When my position is set other than GPS, GPS Auto TX function
does not operate.
