No paper is loaded.
Cause
: The selected paper feeding location has run out of paper, or the selected paper has
run out.
Remedy : Load paper into the indicated paper feeding location by following the procedure
described under 'Loading Paper' (see p. 3-2) and 'Loading Paper into the Paper
Deck' (see p. 5-29). Alternatively, select another paper feeding location that is
loaded with paper of the same size and type.
Original cannot be recognised.
Cause
: The original cannot be recognised.
Remedy : If you are using an original that cannot be detected, such as a transparency, turn
the Original Recognition function off and manually select the paper size. (See
Chapter 1, 'Basic Copying', in the Copying Guide.)
Paper is jammed in the indicated location.
Remove the jammed paper.
Cause
: An original or paper is jammed at the location indicated on the touch panel display.
Remedy : Remove the jammed original or paper following the procedure described in
'Removing Paper Jams' (see p. 4-2).
Paper of the current size/type cannot be used with this mode. Set the proper paper size/type.
Cause
: Paper ran out during a Copy job, and paper of a different size and/or type is
selected.
Remedy : Select paper that is of the same size and type as that which ran out.
Place the originals in the feeder.
Cause
: The originals need to be placed into the feeder (option) in order to make copies with
the specified settings.
Remedy : Place the originals into the feeder (option).
