The physical attributes of paper may change and cause problems in copying due to environmental
factors such as dryness or humidity. To prevent such changes in the quality of paper, place the
transparent sheet that comes with the drawer onto the bottom of the drawer. Make sure to use the
correct-size sheet for the paper you are loading, and place the sheet such that the arrow on the sheet
is against the far-right corner of the drawer.
Do not load the following types of paper into the drawer. Doing so may cause a paper jam.
- Severely curled or wrinkled paper
- Thin straw paper
- Paper which has been copied onto (do not copy on the reverse side either)
- Paper which has been output using a printer or a copier other than this copier (do not copy on the
reverse side either)
Always use the stack bypass to feed paper when you copy onto the rear side of a sheet of paper that
already has something copied onto its front side (2nd side of 2-sided copy).
Fan the stack of paper well before loading it.
Do not place paper or any other items in the empty part of the drawer next to the paper stack. Doing
so may cause paper jams.

Each drawer holds about 550 sheets of paper (80 g/m
