Sending messages

This chapter describes how to send messages and explains:

Recording and sending messages

• Searching the Company Directory
• Assigning message delivery options
• Sending a message to more than one recipient
• Replying to messages
• Placing a call with Thru-Dial
Recording and sending messages
The messages you record must be longer than three seconds. The system times out after five
seconds of silence.
When you record and send messages you can:
• search the Company Directory
refer to "Searching the Company Directory" on page 27
• assign message delivery options
refer to "Assigning message delivery options" on page 28
• send a message to more than one recipient
refer to "Sending a message to more than one recipient" on page 30
To record and send a message
1 Dial the CallPilot Messaging access number, then enter your mailbox number and press
2 Enter your mailbox password and press
3 Press

4 Enter the mailbox number or Group List address
and press

The default to search the Company Directory is
this number. For more information about searching the Company Directory, refer to
"Searching the Company Directory" on page
5 Press OK or
6 Press when you are finished entering addresses.

7 Press and record your message at the tone.

8 Press to end your recording.
