Configuring ISDN Port Settings

Before the router can support remote communications, you need to configure the
router's ISDN settings. To configure the ISDN settings, you must have the
information in the
Switches in North America often require Service Profile Identifier (SPID)
numbers. In many such cases, the router can automatically detect both the switch
type and the SPID numbers. Certain types of North American switches can also
detect the ISDN Directory Numbers. Normally, if the router is connected to this
type of switch, all of the required information is automatically detected when the
ISDN line is initialized. If the router cannot detect a Directory Number, you must
enter it manually. If you select Auto Detect as the ISDN switch type, you must
enter the ISDN Directory Numbers.
