Description
Select whether to enable caller ID authentication for this profile. When caller ID
authentication is enabled, the router verifies the incoming caller ID before accepting
the call. This service may require a special service from your ISDN service provider.
Enter the caller ID phone number to authenticate.
This field is displayed when you set Caller ID Authen. to Yes.
Select whether to use STAC compression. STAC compression allows outgoing data
to be compressed to achieve higher throughput, and decompressed incoming data
to be recognized. The ability to use compression depends on the capabilities of
your ISP.
Enter the number of seconds of inactivity for the connection before the router
disconnects the call. You can set the idle timeout from 0 to 3600 seconds. The
default setting is 120 seconds. If you set the timeout to 0, the connection never
times out.
Select whether to enable IP routing over a connection using this profile. When you
enable IP routing, the router routes IP data packets to the appropriate server or host
according to entries in the IP routing table.
Select whether to enable IPX routing over a connection using this profile. When you
enable IPX routing, the router routes IPX data packets to the appropriate server or
host according to entries in the IPX routing table.
This field is displayed if you selected Share NetWare (IPX) Resource in the
BayStack 820 ISDN Router Manager customization dialog box.
Enter the IPX network number of a network reachable through this connection.
This field is displayed when you set Enable IPX to Yes.
