IP Softphone 2050 Settings

Server

Use the Server dialog box to configure the connection between the
IP Softphone 2050 and your communications server. You can either use
the default method (DHCP) or manually specify an IP address.
To open the

Server

of the Settings window.
The following sections describe the Server settings:

"Resetting the connection" on page 69

Using DHCP

With
Automatic (DHCP)
addresses from a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server.
Note: To use DHCP, your Local Area Network (LAN) must include a
DCHP server. Contact your System Administrator to set up the server
with the correct IP address values.
To use the Automatic (DHCP) method:
1. Select the
Automatic (DHCP)
2. From the
Server
Primary, Secondary, or Application (XAS) servers.
Note 1: Primary and Secondary servers are assigned by DHCP.
Note 2: XAS support is reserved for future use.
