Installing TCP/IP on a Windows 98 workstation

To install TCP/IP on a Windows 98 workstation:

From the Windows Start menu, choose Settings > Control Panel.

Double-click the Network icon.

In the Configuration tab, click on Add.

From the list of items to add, select Protocol.

Click Add.

From the list of manufacturers, select Microsoft.

From the list of protocols, select TCP/IP

Click OK.

Click Close.

Installing TCP/IP on a Windows NT workstation

To install TCP/IP on a Windows NT workstation:

From the Windows Start menu, choose Settings > Control Panel.

Double-click the Network icon.
The Network dialog box opens.

Click Protocols and then click Add.
The Select Network Protocol dialog box opens.

Select the TCP/IP protocol and then click OK.
You are prompted for the location of your NT installation files.

Enter the appropriate information and follow any instructions displayed on
your screen.
TCP/IP is added to the list of installed network components.

Click Close.
