3.7.3 Setting of Demand Operation
Setting of Demand Operation
By connecting the external contact input to the demand input of the external control adaptor for condensing unit (optional),
the power consumption of unit operation can be saved suppressing the compressor operating condition.
Setting content
Set item Condition
The compressor operates at
Mode 1
approx. 60% or less of rating.
The compressor operates at
Demand 1 Mode 2
approx. 70% or less of rating.
The compressor operates at
Mode 3
approx. 80% or less of rating.
The compressor operates at
Demand 2 
approx. 40% or less of rating.
Demand 3 
Forced thermostat OFF.
*: However the demand operation does not occur in the following operation modes.

If carrying out demand input, connect the adaptor's terminals as shown below.
A. When the demand operation is carried out by external contact (with the use of the external control adaptor for
condensing unit).
1. Connect external control adaptor for condensing unit and short-circuit terminals as required (Refer above figure).
2. While in "Setting mode 2", set the setting condition for set item No. 12 (Setting of demand operation) to "YES".
3. If necessary, while in "Setting mode 2", select the set item No. 30 (Setting of Demand 1 level) and then set the setting
condition to targeted mode.
B. When the normal demand operation is carried out. (Use of the external control adaptor for condensing unit is
not required.)
1. While in "Setting mode 2", make setting of the set item No. 32 (Setting of alternate demand) to "ON".
2. While in "Setting mode 2", select the set item No. 30 (Setting of Demand 1 level) and then set the setting condition to
targeted mode.
