Entering Ladder Programs
F1 functions for both BCD and Hexadecimal formats. For

display in BCD format, the values should be entered with
digits 0–9. For Hexadecimal, the values should be entered
as 0–F.
F2 allows entry of up to 16 1s and 0s in any combination

from all 0s to all 1s.
F3 allows entry of a number from 0 to 65535. Any entry

above 65535 defaults to 65535.
F4 allows entry of a signed integer between –32768 and

+32767. Any entry out of this range will default either to
the lower or upper limit according to the sign (+ or –).
F5 permits entry of a signed integer between +2147483647

and –2147483648. Entries outside this range will default to
either the upper or the lower limit depending on the sign (+
or –).
F6 allows entry of numbers in a six-digit plus decimal

format or in a six-digit, plus decimal and a two-digit
exponent. The range is + 1.17550E–38 to +3.40282E+38 for
positive numbers; –1.17550E–38 to –3.40282E+38 for
negative numbers. Numbers greater than +3.40282E+38
are displayed as +INF. Numbers less than –3.40282E+38
are displayed as –INF, and numbers between
+1.17550E–38 and –1.17550E–38 are displayed as 0.
To enter a number with an exponent, press the letter E after entry of the
mantissa. To return to the mantissa, press the decimal point.
NOTE: The format assigned to a particular memory address will be lost
when you stop displaying the screen showing the memory location. (When
the memory chart is displayed again, all memory locations will have integer
formats. Also, the section of the chart which appears will be the section that
was last displayed before you quit the memory operation.)
