(COMments.) This function key is the entry into the
COM

operations which are used to create and modify comments.

(SYNonyms.) This function key begins the series of
SYN

operations used to create and modify synonyms.
See Section 8.9.
COMON/COMOFF
F3
function key allows you to choose whether comments will be
displayed with the ladder logic. If "COMON" is displayed,
pressing the function key will cause the comments to
appear on the screen. "COMON" will change to "COMOFF",
which indicates that pressing the function key once more
will remove the comments from the screen.
SYNON/SYNOFF
F4
similar to that above: it allows you to choose whether
synonyms are displayed with the ladder logic. If "SYNON"
is shown, pressing the key will cause the synonyms to be
placed on the screen. "SYNON" will change to "SYNOFF",
which indicates that pressing the key once more will cause
the synonyms to be removed from the screen.
NOTE: When comments or synonyms are placed on the screen, a single rung
of the network may be too large to fit on one screen. When this occurs, you
cannot use the UP or DOWN function keys to view the part outside the
screen. Instead, the up and down arrow keys on the keyboard must be used
to view the entire rung. The up arrow key will show the next line of the
rung; the down arrow will show the previous line of the rung. To step to
another rung of the program, you must use the UP and DOWN function
keys rather than the arrow keys.
