Creating or Changing a Title
To begin the process of creating or entering a title, first press the TITLE
(F5) function key in the Offline Menu. This will cause the system to respond
with the menu and words described in the previous section. The cursor will
be placed on the first position after the word "Title". An asterisk (*) will
appear below the line with the cursor. This symbol will move as you enter
the title and serves as the marker for the end of the title.
Once the title screen is displayed, type the title of the Program Disk. If you
make a mistake, or you wish to change an existing title, use the arrow keys
to place the cursor over the incorrect character and type the correct
character. You could also use the DELCH, INSCH, DELLN, or INSLN
function keys to modify an existing title. Remember the differences caused
by being in Compose or Edit mode: Compose mode allows text to
"wrap-around" from line to line, but Edit mode does not.
After the title is written, use the arrow keys or the Return key to move the
cursor to the Date and Version lines at the bottom of the screen. Type in the
date and version as needed. Note, however, that the edit operations will not
be available at this level. Instead, when the cursor is moved to the Date
line, the Function Keys offer the following two choices:
These function keys are used after the title, date, and version are typed. The
ENTER (F2) function key will store the new title, date, and version (or any
changes made to an existing title) on the Program Disk. If you do not wish
to keep the changes or the new title, press the ABORT (F1) function key.
After pressing either of the function keys, the system will leave the TITLE
operation and return to the previous display.
