Configuring I/O
As shown in Figure 5-2, the I/O Configuration Chart is displayed when the
SHOW Function Key is pressed. The Function Keys now available are
labeled as shown and described below.
(COMPare.) Pressing this function key compares the
COMP
F4
displayed I/O Configuration chart with the actual
configuration of the I/O modules in a particular base. Since
the comparison is based on the displayed chart, the chart
must show the I/O configuration as stored in the P/C or an
invalid comparison will be made. To obtain a valid
comparison, use F6, ReadPC, to call the PC configuration to
the screen before doing the compare. Any differences will be
shown in bright intensity in the chart and by two "*"
symbols to the left of the slot affected.
(READ BaSe.) Pressing this function key obtains the I/O
READBS
F5
configuration for the base shown on the top line of the
chart. The displayed I/O Configuration chart will be
re-drawn to show values obtained.
Pressing this function key will obtain the I/O Configuration
READPC
F6
stored in the P/C and will redraw the I/O Configuration
chart to show the values obtained.
