This function key is only available in the Offline mode of
PUT
F6
operation. It moves the selected block to a second Program
Disk. However, the system will first check that the second
disk is initialized. If it is not initialized, a prompt will
appear to allow you to initialize it. If you say "no" to the
prompt, the operation will abort; if you say "yes", the
memory configuration of the second disk will be set to the
default values.
To put the block on the second disk, press the function key
and type the address AFTER which the block is to be
placed.
When the address is typed, press the Return key to begin
the PUT operation. The system will then load as much of
the selected block as will fit into the memory of the VPU200
and request that you insert the second Program Disk. Once
the disks are exchanged, press the Return key to load the
contents of the VPU200's memory onto the second disk.
After the contents are loaded, the system will request that you replace the
original Program Disk. If there is more of the block to be copied, the
operation will then repeat the cycle described above until the entire block is
copied to the second disk.
NOTE: If a PUT request will exceed the memory configuration of the second
Program Disk, the operation will be aborted with an error message
displayed on the screen. The second disk must be reconfigured before the
PUT operation will copy the block to the second disk.
