No >>
Go to the next step.

DETECT MALFUNCTIONING PART
• Check the following for a possible malfunction:
− Fuel pump and circuit
− Fuel pressure regulator
Is the check result normal?
Yes >>
Go to the next step.
No >>
Repair or replace as necessary.
7.
CHECK THE MAP OR MAF SENSOR SIGNAL
• Turn ignition switch off.
• Install all previously removed parts.
• Check MAP signal and reference the following data:

Is the check result normal?
Yes >>
If using the X-431, go to the next step.
If not using the X-431, go to step 9.
No >>
Check connectors for damaged or MAP signal circuit for short to power circuit.
8.
PERFORM ACTIVE TEST FUNCTION
• Start engine.
• Select ACTIVE TEST menu.
• Perform injector active test.
• Make sure that each test produces a momentary drop in engine speed.
Is the check result normal?
>>
Yes
Go to step 12.
No >>
Go to the next step.
