CHECK MAP/IAT SENSOR ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR
• Disconnect the MAP/IAT sensor (1) electrical con-
nector E-033.
• Inspect the electrical connector for damage.
Is the electrical connector OK?
Yes >>
Go to the next step.
No >>
Repair or replace the electrical connector
as necessary.

CHECK THE IAT SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT
• Turn ignition switch on.
• Check the voltage between terminal 2 and ground
in the IAT sensor connector E-033 terminal side.
• 5 V should exist.
Is the check result normal?
Yes >>
Go to the next step.
No >>
Repair circuit for an open or short to
power in harness or connectors.
If circuit is normal, go to the next step.
4.
CHECK THE IAT SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT FOR OPEN OR SHORT
• Turn ignition switch off.
• Disconnect the ECM electrical connector.
• Check the continuity between IAT sensor terminal 1 and ECM terminal 17 terminal side.
