HVAC Housing

Removal & Installation
1. Evacuate the A/C system (See A/C System Evacuation and Recharge in Section 13 Heating and Air Condition-
ing).
WARNING!
Always allow the engine to cool before opening the cooling system. Do not loosen the coolant pressure relief
cap when the engine is operating or the cooling system is hot. The cooling system is under pressure; steam and
hot liquid can come out forcefully when the cap is loosened slightly. Failure to follow these instructions may
result in serious personal injury.
2. Drain the cooling system (See Cooling System Draining Procedure in Section 06 Cooling System).
3. Remove the two heater hose clamps (1) and
remove the two heater hoses.
4. Remove the two A/C pressure line mounting nuts
(1).
5. Remove the three HVAC housing retaining nuts (2).
6. Remove the instrument panel (See Instrument Panel Removal & Installation in Section 15 Body & Accessories).
